My intention with this project was to introduce a fresh and exciting approach to a woman’s experience using hygiene products. Aunt Flo takes a step forward into deconstructing the menstrual cycle as a taboo subject.
This project handles the intention of empowering women in a timeless way that diversifies itself from the lacklustre approach from current hygiene product companies. With the name of the brand “Aunt Flo” referring to a conventional term for menstrual cycles referred to as “a monthly visit from Aunt Flo”. Thus, I decided to build the brand upon a fictitious figure “Aunt Flo”, as a source of support and comfort for women during their menstrual cycle.
This project is one of my favourites as it sharpened my unique style and preferences as a creative, while also allowing me to explore my passion for flora and fauna studies. It serves as a visual cocktail of my creative versatility, spanning across both digital and manual mediums and techniques, in which I feel that is how I’ve achieved this dated yet fresh aesthetic for this project.
