This poster design is in response to the Univers typeface designed by Adrian Frutiger. Released in 1953, the same year as Helvetica, Univers was born into an era that craved sensibility, structure and practicality. I ensured the poster reflected that of the typeface’s history, neutrality and significance. This is evidenced in the images and elements embedded throughout the design, showcasing the typeface’s previous involvement in corporate branding. Its flexibility was recognised by Apple, which was featured on Macintosh keyboards up until 2007, as well as Frankfurt’s International Airport and the Montreal Metro system.
